You'd be heartless not to love him!

Keaden's second year of cosplay was a Heartless from the video game Kingdom Hearts. This was debuted at Anime Weekend Atlanta 2011 and, with Keaden knowing quite a few more words, he was able to say 'costume' in no time. By the time his costume was completed, and we'd arrived at the convention, he'd immediately gone for the bag with the costume in it. He was eager, and just as happy to be in it. This is a photo from a fitting test:

This costume, we'd actually built a Wonderflex headpiece inside of the costume itself, which held the pipe-cleaner antennae in place. The eyes were made of friendly plastic, and had a yellow LED set into place inside a Wonderflex base, and held on with these nifty clear silicon earplugs, so the LEDs and batteries were entirely changeable, should something have burned out. Then, we covered it all in the costume satin his bodysuit was made out of. Here's a shot of him in action at the convention:

Like the previous year, we entered him into the costume contest, but he didn't win anything, which was ok. He just loved the attention, and everyone we met took the opportunity to tell us that he was the cutest thing they'd seen at the convention. It didn't matter that we didn't win, he had a good time, and that's all that matters. <3
